BuildaBridge engages an interdisciplinary process in our projects using multiple art forms to teach both art and non-art subjects. This is called arts-integrated teaching. In this example from Arts4Peace, the art-making process teaches about peace-making. Youth created a song about the peace-making process, wrote and enacted a drama based on a story, and created a portable backdrop and props for the final production presented to parents and invited community members. This project was funded by the Urban Coalition of Philadelphia. Fifty children and 15 artists worked together to learn about Peace-Making through art-making. This curriculum is used in BuildaBridge Community Programs.
